​Director of Pharmacy – Dubuque, IA

  • 40 Hours a week – Full time

  • $140,000 - $160,000 PA

Quad Recruitment is currently looking for a forward-thinking Director of Pharmacy to join a small chain of pharmacies and to be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities in the retail and long-term care pharmacies.

The Director of Pharmacy will be based out of the head office in Dubuque, IA, and will be responsible for overseeing half of the company's stores. This organization will have another Director of Pharmacy who will oversee the other half.

Successful candidates will need to have a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience within a pharmacy environment and will have a valid pharmacist license in good standing with the state board of pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all functions of the pharmacies to ensure proper procedures and policies are being followed

  • Monitor and evaluate inventories

  • Ensure all pharmacies comply with federal and state standards

  • Evaluate the performance of pharmacists

  • Create a monthly schedule for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Portrays the company in a positive image

  • Required to abide by all rules, regulations, and policies of the employer

Requirements:

  • Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college

  • Valid pharmacist license which must be in good standing with the state pharmacy board

  • Need to have the ability to work independently, set priorities, and make critical decisions
