Our client is a leading provider of therapeutic residential care, independent education and integrated clinical services for children and young people with multiple and complex needs. We deliver a portfolio of specialist service for young people aged 8 to 18, from crisis and assessment placement, through to long term placement and preparation for independent living.
Our client is currently seeking a Deputy Home Manager at one of their established residential homes in the Wrexham area. This home offers specialist support for children and young people with a range of mental health issues and challenges so will suit a professional with a mental health care background or someone with extensive experience as a Deputy Manager who wants to specialise in mental health care of children and young people.
You will work with the Registered Manager to ensure delivery of high-quality care to our young people as part of our integrated service offering. In order to achieve this, you will hold a comprehensive knowledge of PACE model of therapeutic parenting, along with widespread knowledge of relevant legislation.
Alongside the Registered Manager you will:

- work to ensure these behaviours are replicated throughout your team
To be considered for this role you will have a Level 3 in Children and Young People or Residential Care or Children’s Workforce and (or working towards) a Level 5 Management and Leadership along with experience working in a residential setting with children and young people. As an organisation our client values the development and progression of our staff and working with support from our Learning and Development team you will actively encourage staff progression.
As a Deputy Manager you will be required to work on shift, however you will be expected to cover where required. Each shift will be deemed as a 48-hour period and you may be required to sleep on site during this time.
Your annual salary will be allocated in line with the companies pay scales, starting at £21,851 to £25,492. You will then receive a shift allowance of up to £5000 allowing your annual salary to reach up to £30,492. Please note, shift patterns can be varied to meet with needs of the home and as such your shift allowance is subject to change.
