My wonderful client are holding an assessment day to find learner support workers!! It’s the best environment for them to see you relaxed and having a good time. Let’s be serious, there’s nothing worse than feeling nervous for an interview. Try this interview method, I promise it’s the preferred environment for them and you, lets you be who you are and what that’s what they want to see.
As a Learner Support Worker, you will work within a fun and charismatic educational environment where no one day will be the same as the last.
You, as a support worker will help a group of children with Learning Difficulties and other complex needs get the most out of life through being a support worker, companion and also, let’s not forget a Friend. There will be professional bonds formed which are unbreakable.
You will sit next to a specific individual providing them with ability appropriate fun educational activities. You will also teach the children how to live a full and exciting life through teaching them basic life skills which will carry them throughout their lives. You will attend exciting school trips where you’ll see yourself attend a wide range of activity centres and varying exciting days out! Oh…and did I mention, this was all for FREE and within your working hours?!?
The hours of a Learner Support Worker
You will work Monday – Friday 9am-4:30pm- TERM TIME ONLY!!!!!
You know what that means? You’ll have all those fantastic breaks off which include a luxurious 6 weeks during the summer holidays!! On top of this you get to choose an additional 30 days holiday during the term time and also all bank holidays!!
Roles and Responsibilities of a Learner Support Worker
As a Learner Support Worker you will ensure that the children within your care are being supported with enthusiasm, understanding and positivity. It’s very important to allow them to make independent decisions to ensure they have the best opportunity to live independent lives. Through allowing independence you’ll see the wonderful personalities of each child flourish. You will have some challenging days, there’s no denying, but don’t we all have good and bad days? Your work as a learner support worker will see you working with a group of professional learner support workers who also want the best for the children.
