My client is a well-established Residential Home Care provider within the UK and they currently have a new position become available for a RGN, RMN or RN in Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or General nursing will be considered for this role, you will be responsible for one of their homes based Just of A511 South Derbyshire.

For their Assisted Living Department, they are seeking a Unit Care Manager who will assist with the daily running and managing of the nursing and residential department within the home.
The Role

Your aim a RGN is to provide the highest standard of care in a relaxed, friendly environ-ment.
They specialise in caring for people with dementia with a friendly and empathetic approach. We ensure that residents can still enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of their choice, whilst re-ceiving care that is appropriate to their needs built on dignity and respect and you will play a key part in this:

• Ensuring the well-being of our residents, making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
• Leading, motivating and mentoring our experienced team of carers and providing clinical guidance to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home.
• Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individual care plans.
• Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to rele-vant standards, policies and legislation
• Overseeing the care team and ensure their duties have been fulfilled throughout the shift.
• Developing, reviewing and updating care plans
• Ensuring medicines are administered, stored and received appropriately. 
• Ensuring the well-being of our residents, making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
• Being pro-active in monitoring the behaviour and well-being of residents and making appropriate referrals to external sources of support or care as necessary.

What do I need? 

• Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) (RMN) (General practice nurse)
• A naturally caring approach and a passion for helping people maintain their dignity, inde-pendence and choice
• Knowledge and expertise in supporting people with a dementia diagnosis. 
• Superb clinical skills and a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and to continuing your professional development
• First rate clinical leadership skills and a willingness to guide and act as mentor to your colleagues
• A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and belief in giving your personal best at all time

What hours will I work?

Based on 38.5hrs per week
33 hours week 1 
44 hours week 2 
Every other weekend off
