Company Description

A specialist care provider within the educational sector are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to lead the delivery of SNL to students aged 16-25.

The company is widely known as an excellent provider of specialist educational needs within the sector. Their approach to teaching and empowering the students within their tutelage is second to none and all.

The Role

As Speech and Language Therapist you’ll be tasked with a number of different responsibilities, the age group of 16-25 poses a unique opportunity and you’ll be empowering them to understand and learn to communicate effective. Not only this, you’ll also pass over your knowledge and expertise to the wider team for them to help to integrate certain techniques into their already holistic approach.

The environment is simply stunning, the grounds are a vast woodland area with lakes and greenery. You are not just restricted to your office or classroom environment, you can go outside and delivery sessions in the great outdoors.

The students enjoy this the most, they love being outside and learning through this type of environment.

Qualifications and Skills

Ideally, you’d have 2 years’ experience or more, however, if you have worked in a similar environment but haven’t had as much as experience as this, we’d still love to hear from you. The reason for this is you would be the sole Speech and Language Therapist for that particular site.

Your approach to Speech and Language Therapy has to be holistic and facilitating, with a great understanding of Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviours and EBD.

You will have to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Your salary is based on a pro rata, a four-day week (Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00) in term time works out at £21,000. This gives you every Friday off, which you could accomplish Bank hours on this day, plus half terms off. The way the pay scale works with holidays means that you get paid the same every month too, you’re still paid over the summer.
