This school is an award-winning education establishment for complex needs. All staff members are looked after and the salary is an industry leading pay grade.
The location is beautiful and there are many facilities on site such as swimming pools and mood rooms.
As a Support Worker, you will be helping to manage a dormitory of up to 10 children and assist as a team member to assess, plan and review individual education care plans for residential pupils in a school environment.
Your hours would be Monday – Thursday 16:00 – 22:00, however, there would be more hours available at the very attractive hourly rate of £10.00 per hour.
These pupils have complex needs and physical disabilities; however, these guys are very self-sufficient, especially the older pupils 16+. The main complex need is epilepsy.
The pupils do not show demonstrations of Challenging Behaviour and they have all of the facilities and support structure to ensure an excellent environment at all time.
Qualifications and Skills
You would have experience of working with children upto the age of 17 and have worked with complex needs, epilepsy is preferred.
An NVQ 3 or Level 3 in any Social Care or Childcare related specialism is highly desired.
You’ll have to have the passion to look after and support children with complex needs and ensure their quality of stay within the school’s residential environment is of the best quality.
