With over 15 years’ experience within Health & Social Care we are both experienced but contemporary in the way the we do things. There are plans for another 10 homes to be opened by the end of 2017 and this position is for a new build, bespoke home. We are very engaged with the local community with many of our children being involved with local teams and clubs in the area. One of our main philosophies in investing in our people; we feel that in this way our people feel both valued and also they have the very best opportunities to do their jobs to the highest possible standard.
As a Residential Support Worker you will be assisting and supporting your Registered Home Manager in the care and attention of vulnerable children and creating a very therapeutic environment. You will be providing the structure and safety of these children in our home; having direct contact and responsibility during all activities both internally and any external daytrips that are planned in the community.
You are both a friend and a mentor to your charges and the role is as much creating an open culture where they are comfortable to air their thoughts and feelings as it is to oversee activities.
All residential support workers work within teams so you will never be on shift alone, so working within teams effectively is a huge part of this role.
You will receive a sleep in allowance on top of your hourly rates to boost your wages and the role works on a rota system, as is standard for Residential Support Workers.
