We are currently partnered with a family-owned chain of retail pharmacies that are looking for a Pharmacist in Charge to join them at a very well-staffed store in Belle Plaine, IA.
Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) – Belle Plaine, IA
- $140,000 Per Year
- $5000 Sign on Bonus
- 100 Prescriptions per day
- 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (Alternating weekends)

This position will consult and advise the customers on their medication, both prescription and non-prescription, in a manner that will provide for their total well-being.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This includes ensuring that all prescriptions are filled accurately and on time, that the pharmacy is properly stocked with medications, and that the staff is following all applicable laws and regulations.
Supervise the pharmacy staff. This includes hiring and training new staff, evaluating their performance, and providing them with ongoing education and training.
Administer the pharmacy budget. This includes tracking expenses, making purchasing decisions, and ensuring that the pharmacy is profitable.
Communicate with patients and healthcare providers. This includes answering patient questions, providing counseling on medications, and communicating with prescribers about potential drug interactions or other concerns.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This includes ensuring that the pharmacy is following all state and federal laws governing the dispensing of prescription medications.
