- 2500 Prescriptions a week
- 9 am – 8 pm 4 days a week
- 2 Pharmacists and 6 Pharmacy Technicians at the store
We are currently partnered with a very reputable retailer that is looking for a Staff Pharmacist to join them at a very well-staffed pharmacy in Monticello, NY. This position will consult and advise the customers on their medication, both prescription and non-prescription, in a manner that will provide for their total well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and on time. This includes verifying the prescription, checking for drug interactions, and ensuring that the medication is dispensed in the correct dosage and form.
- Providing counseling to patients on their medications. This includes explaining how to take the medication, potential side effects, and interactions with other medications.
- Managing inventory and ordering medications. This includes ensuring that the pharmacy is properly stocked with medications and that the medications are rotated and discarded according to expiration dates.
- Communicating with patients and healthcare providers. This includes answering patient questions, communicating with prescribers about potential drug interactions or other concerns, and providing updates on prescriptions.
- Completing administrative tasks. This includes filling out paperwork, processing insurance claims, and maintaining patient records.
