They're passionate about transforming lives through innovative weight management solutions and are seeking a dedicated Superintendent Pharmacist to lead their compliance efforts as they scale.
Role Overview
As their Superintendent Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance and operational integrity. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll oversee all aspects of pharmacy governance, with a focus on GLP-1 therapies. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to shape the future of the clinic while benefiting from a rewarding compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all compliance and auditing activities, ensuring adherence to GPhC standards, MHRA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
- Oversee the safe and effective dispensing of GLP-1 medications, including independent prescribing for weight loss treatments.
- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes to maintain faultless operations.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement policies for patient safety and ethical prescribing.
- Manage pharmacy stock, supply chain, and documentation to support seamless service delivery.
- Stay abreast of industry developments in GLP-1 therapies and contribute to business growth strategies.
Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified Pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
- Qualified Independent Prescriber (IP) with a proven track record in prescribing GLP-1 medications for weight loss.
- Prior experience as a Superintendent Pharmacist (SI) specifically within the GLP-1 or weight management sector.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy legislation, compliance frameworks, and auditing practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
