The Position -

We are seeking a driven, passionate, and confident IP Pharmacist to join their growing team. This is a pivotal role in ensuring patient safety and product quality within their rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities -

Clinical Care -

  • Patient Assessment - Evaluate patients for eligibility for cannabis based medication.

Teamwork and Administration -

  • Management Support - Assist Clinical Lead, COO, and Business Manager.
  • Compliance Champion - Ensure all clinical activities adhere to current guidelines.
  • Administrative Support - Contribute to administrative tasks as needed.
  • Clinical Input - Participate in clinical meetings and discussions.
  • Patient GP Communication - Communicate with patient's GPs to gather information and address inquiries.
  • Information Gathering - Obtain necessary summary care records and additional details for patient care.

Leadership and Development -

  • Management Responsibilities - Take on additional managerial duties as assigned.
  • Procedural Oversight - Guarantee proper clinical and operational procedures are implemented.
  • Multidisciplinary Team Participation - Attend and contribute to MDT meetings.
  • Prescription Management - Process prescription renewals and support with rewrites.
  • Shared Care - Collaborate with other healthcare providers on repeat prescriptions.
  • Pharmacy Liaison - Address medication queries with pharmacy and dispensing staff.
  • Clinical Inquiry Resolution - Handle clinical questions from patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Consultant Communication - Collaborate with internal and external specialists regarding patient suitability for treatment.

Ideal Personal Profile -

  • GPhC registered pharmacist, MPharm and IP qualification
  • Proven experience in prescribing within a GP or Community
  • Knowledge of Pain & Mental Health hugely beneficial
  • In-depth knowledge of GPhC regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A meticulous and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • A passion for patient safety and quality assurance.
