Pharmacist are one of the main leaders to underserviced areas across the USA according to Crystal Lennartz during her conversation with the Pharmacy Times.

Crystal Lennartz is currently VP, General Manager of Health Mart Atlas and can relate to all Pharmacists during these pressing and challenging times.

Due to Pandemic, the push for Pharmacists to be providers of healthcare services has become a hot topic in the Pharmacy Industry. However, the vast majority of funding was rolled out over 2020-2021 in developing treatment for Covid-19. C.L stipulates: “It's really important that we capitalize on this time and the impact that pharmacists had to make some of this reform permanent. One example of that is the Equitable Access to Pharmacist Services Act.”

What is the Equitable Access to Pharmacist Service Act?

This is a service provided my Pharmacy Organisations which provides Pharmacists the authority to provide medication and services to the underserviced areas across the USA.

This included:

  • Vaccinations for COVID-19 and Influenza

  • Testing for COVID-19, Influenza, Strep Throat, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus

  • Treatment for COVID-19, Influenza, and Strep Throat

Above this is to ensure patients have access to consistent healthcare and the services that Pharmacists will be able to provide.
